Website/Wordpress
When it comes to my own blog, I’m an experienced blogger, as well as a professional web developer and web designer. Keeping this in mind, my preferred blogging (and small business website) platform is WordPress; the self-hosted version.
For a WordPress blog or small business website that can grow with you, I’ve provided a list of resources I recommend.
- Domain Registration( paid)
- Hosting(Paid)
- WordPress Theme & Pluggins( Free /Paid)
- Email Marketing( free /paid)
- SEO tools(Paid)
- Canva (Free/Paid)
- Google Search Console & Google Analytics(FREE)
Domain & Hosting
Which Web Hosting Company Should I Use? And why is this so?
A free blogging platform such as WordPress or Blogger did not provide me with the flexibility to monetize and customise my blog in the manner that Siteground or the Bluehost’s platform does.
They have really reasonable costs, and my domain name was provided free of charge for the first year.
(In addition, you may register a domain name using NameCheap)
If you’re serious about making money from your site, I strongly advise you to look into self-hosting as soon as you can.
I’m going to tell you what I think is the key to my blog’s success. The proof is in the cake or in other words, in the results.
Domain Registration
A domain name is a distinct name that corresponds to one or more IP addresses (e.g. Bydivacharya.com).
A web address reflects a domain name (for example, www.Macharya.com.au) and is also known as a URL or Uniform Resource Locator.
A web address is the address that people will use to find your website on the internet.
People can enter your website address directly into a browser on their computer, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, or into an internet application on their smartphone or tablet.
People using search engines such as Google or Bing can also find your website by entering a question or keywords and searching.
You can also use your domain name in an email address (for example, hello@digitallydiv.com.au).
To create an email address, you must also purchase an email service or hosting, which is distinct from registering a web address.
The Industry Leading Domain Providers NameCheap
Name Cheap Offers the Following goodies
- Popular domains at reasonable prices
- Save money by using our domain price search tool.
- When you register, you will receive free products and services.
- Free lifetime privacy protection and much more.
- Simple setup and helpful instructions
- Expert assistance and advice are available whenever you require it.
Nexus Hosting
For those just starting out in the blogging world, I’d recommend SiteGround, which offers first-time customers prices as low as $4.75 per month (if paid annually).
Nexcess Hosting exceeds my expectations when compared to other comparable shared hosting services.
A few of the perks include free SSL, free daily backup, unlimited email accounts, a built-in caching programme to speed up your site, a CDN with Cloudflare, and 24/7 phone and chat support (and what phenomenal support they have!).

Elementor- The Page Builder
Elementor : Elementor is a plugin that allows you to create themes and webpages.
In order to avoid having to custom code everything, this plugin is a great choice if you’re sick of seeing the same look and feel on everyone else’s blogs.
If you are Just starting Elementor Free will do ,However if you need to add many extra Features you would need Elementor pro.
The WordPress theme 17 Avenue and Blossom Pin it are some of my favourites, and I use it in conjunction with Elementor to get the best of both worlds.
Different Approach: The Genesis framework is the best option if you prefer a more traditional WordPress theme approach.
Using Genesis without a child theme will result in a non-functional site.
You can find all of my favourite Genesis children’s themes on StudioPress, but if you’re looking for something a little more feminine, I highly recommend Restored316 child themes.
WordPress Plugins You Need to Have
I believe that the fewer plugins you have, the more efficient your system will be.
As a result, a few plugins are absolutely necessary for a variety of reasons (performance, security, etc.) .
The plugins listed below are some of my personal favourites, which I use both on my own site and those of my clients.
1. A spam filter that blocks spam and malicious comments is called an anti-spam filter or anti-spam filter. It’s free to use and far superior to paid plugins like Akismet.
RANKMATH SEO Plugin: Using the Rankmath SEO plugin, you can easily add metadata to your pages and posts. An important part of this is enforcing an anti-SEO (Search Engine Optimization) policy. Although you should take its advice with a grain of salt, it’s not a bad idea to heed its advice.
Smush Image Optimization– Images are one of the biggest culprits for slowing down your site’s load time. This is by far the best image-optimization plugin I’ve tried.
Google site Kit: is a free security plugin for WordPress from Google. You can connect Google search Console, Adsense, page speed with this Plugin and start Looking at stats for your blog site.
Most hosting providers offer daily backups for free or at an additional cost (SiteGround, for example, provides this service as a free feature). Because of this, I still prefer to have a backup plugin installed.
Additionally, UpDraft Plus stores backups locally, so if something goes wrong (during a plugin update, for example), you can simply restore from a previous backup by accessing the WordPress dashboard.
Media Cleaner Plugin: With a simple click of the button, Media Cleaner can identify and remove media files that are not linked to anywhere else on your site.
When you’ve had a blog for a while and assets have been moved around and you’ve lost track of what links to what, this plugin comes in handy.
It also clears out the media library of files that are just taking up space. Keep your blog’s backend clutter-free by using this plugin once a month.
Email Marketing:-Get Your Email list
Your best ally is a mailing list. Period. The sooner you get an email list up and running, the better off you’ll be as a small business owner, freelancer, or entrepreneur.
In fact, I believe that building an email list is more important than building a website or blog.
It’s easy to find an email marketing service these days.
The best option for bloggers is GetResponse which makes creating multiple forms, sequences, and automations for different opt-in freebies a cinch with this platform.
The more opt-in incentives you can spread across your blog posts, the better off you’ll be as a blogger.
GetResponse is an excellent choice for businesses looking to offer a variety of incentives because of its user-friendly interface,
For a limited time, you can get 30 days of GetResponse for free through my special affiliate link! If you use my special link, you’ll get a month-long free trial instead of the usual 14 days!
Different Approach: Constant Contact is a viable alternative to ConvertKit. The next step up from ConvertKit is Constant Contact, which is a powerful platform for all your marketing automation needs.

WordPress theme
Change your blog design by picking a simple theme.
You need nothing else, just a simple blog theme.
I strongly recommend : Do not spend too much time customizing your blog and make it look fancy. People come to your website for your content , Not for the design.Spend your time on creating great content.
Creating a WordPress blog provides you with a number of significant advantages, one of which is access to WordPress’ extensive selection of themes and plugins. Here’s a short rundown of the differences between the two:
Themes are used to customise the appearance of your free WordPress blog.
Plugins are programmes that allow you to extend the functionality of your blog.
The former will be discussed in greater detail later in this section.
As soon as you start a WordPress blog, you automatically have a theme installed and ready to use.
Either the default WordPress theme or the theme that you selected during the Bluehost Setup Wizard are used in this instance.
However, there are hundreds of WordPress themes available, so you aren’t restricted to just that tiny number of options.

Canva is a graphic design tool, as opposed to drawing tools such as Procreate.
This means that, unlike Procreate, you cannot draw with a stylus in Canva, but you can create designs using images, fonts, shapes, and elements.
Canva can do a LOT of things like a graphic design tool, but it can’t do everything. This is why I classified it as “basic” graphic design.
10 Reasons Canva Pro is Worth the Money
It’s also worth noting that Canva can’t do much photo editing. Canva does not support custom cropping, colour adjustments, or adjusting objects within a scene.
For these more advanced techniques, you’ll need to use a tools like Photoshop.
Even though Canva appears to be “basic,” many of us do not require the advanced techniques found in other programmes, such as the Adobe suite.
Personally, I don’t want to pay a high price for a programme that includes features that I will never use.
Canva is the right price for my needs and does exactly what I need it to. That sounds good to me!
Canva also provides some unique features that you won’t find in other programmes.
