How to make your Blogging website rank higher Google

As a website/business owner, you can be curious about how to improve the ranking of your personal brand website on Google. And you’re probably wondering if SEO ranking (search engine optimisation) is important. Should you employ an SEO firm to help you improve your search engine rankings?

In this article, we’ll discuss why SEO and Google Ranking is critical for personal brand website owners like you, as well as some tips on how to improve your chances of being found online.

Does SEO really matter?

Everyone prefers to do their own research as customers if they want to buy something (a product or a service).

When we’re about to buy something with our credit card in hand, we go to Google (or Bing or Yahoo) and look at the top results.

So, as a Business owner, why does this Search Engine Ranking matter? you ask…

When your website ranks at the top of Google search results, you have a better chance of attracting more organic traffic – that is, traffic that isn’t generated by paid ads.

Search engine optimisation, or SEO, is the process of increasing your web exposure and, as a result, your leads/customers.

However, in order for this to work, your website must appear on the first page of Google search results when someone types in a question relevant to your area of expertise.

So, what can you do to increase your odds of being on the first page of search results?

Neither keyword research nor SEO are going anywhere.

SEO and Content Marketing work Together-So make it happen!

What’s more important? SEO or Content Marketing?

and why they are the best way to improve search engine ranking.

Our potential clients often pose this question. But to us, it’s sort of like the question about the chicken and the egg.

That’s because:

  • A website that ranks well, but has no content is useless (and is doomed to fall in the rankings eventually anyway).
  • Also, having the best content in the world often means nothing if it doesn’t show up in the search engines.

The fact is:

  • Search engine optimisation and content marketing go hand in hand and help your website improve SEO on google
  • They are both crucial parts of any modern business’s digital marketing blueprint.

Businesses Stop SEO Too Soon and Regret later

You may or may not know but SEO is one of the most valuable long-term marketing strategies you can employ.

The prospects are ready to buy, they’re searching for a business just like yours, and it’s how they want to find you (rather than getting interrupted in other media).

However, all too often I see business owners get cold feet.

They’ve been at it for a few months, trying to get ranked by themselves or working with an SEO agency.

But the phone calls and traffic aren’t coming in yet, so they stop their SEO efforts entirely.

This is a BIG mistake for most businesses.

I’ve seen it happen many times though…

Clients get to the 5th month of SEO and if the phone isn’t ringing off the hook or traffic isn’t exploding, they start freaking out.

Here’s why you shouldn’t stop your SEO Efforts:

  • Prospects are actively searching for your business They want to find you
  • Once ranked, you have a system for bringing in leads and sales for the long-term and get traffic to your website
  • The buyers are pre-qualified and high quality
  • Search engine optimisation ROI is very high, and the potential benefits to your business are far too great.
  • SEO is an ongoing process.

Once You Stop Doing SEO, You’ve Definitely Wasted that Time and Investment!

“Good SEO work only gets better over time. It only searches engine tricks that need to keep changing when the ranking algorithms change.” –

Know the fact that SEO takes Time!

One of the most common questions we get at Digitallydiv Agency is:

“How long will it take to rank my business for this keyword and that keyword?” and How to Improve my google ranking.

It’s not surprising that this is a common line of questioning. But truth be told, it might not be that helpful a question to ask in the beginning—except maybe as a test.

Allow me to explain:

  • Any trustworthy estimate is based on in-depth research.
  • The more research, the more reliable the estimate will be.
  • So, if you ask your SEO “expert” how long it will take to see results with them and they respond with something like “6-8 months minimum”—or higher!!

Indeed, a much better answer might be “There’s no telling, but…”

“We Can Begin with an Assessment”

If anyone in SEO tries to give you a timeline without looking at your website first, be on guard.

  • Either they are a rookie or a shyster.
  • In the world of search engine optimisation, every site is different.
  • Ranking for a specific keyword may take anywhere from 24 hours to 2 years depending on your site’s history, your location, and the industry.
  • Plus, Google may let another animal out of its zoo at any given moment.

Before top-notch SEO consultants quote anything, they do keyword research, site audits, competitor analysis, etc.

And if they truly know what they are doing, they should be able to find a few areas to tweak your digital marketing campaigns that bring an immediate effect

A valuable keyword is the one that has a high demand and low competition.

Treat your service pages like your homepage

Many business owners we meet make the mistake of focusing all of their attention on their home page while neglecting their service pages.

But, when you think about it, you’re losing out on chances by doing so.

Your entire website (and, in particular, your service pages) can be optimised for search. Your blog posts should, too!

Read our article How to Optimise Your Blog Posts to learn more about this.

If you have a variety of services, build a separate page for each one and optimise each one separately.

You’ll need to think about the content on these pages if you want to perform well in search engines. What would your customer be looking for if they were you?

Try to provide as much detail about your service as possible (while still keeping your writing succinct and clear).

The following are some examples of items you might put on your service page:

  • A brief description of your service
  • Who is your service appropriate for? What are the key advantages of your service?
  • How much does your service cost?
  • Case studies and testimonials about your service are available upon request.
  • The manner in which you perform the service
  • Questions about your service that are often asked
  • Blog posts, podcast episodes, guides, and other related materials

Do your keyword research

The first step in keyword research is to consider how potential customers might search for your Niche or Service you offer.

Then, using keyword research tools, you can expand on those ideas and find even more keywords. Read our blog why Keyword research is Crucial to get more Insight.

It’s a simple process, but two things must be true for it to work properly:

  • You must be well-versed in your industry.
  • You must understand how keyword research tools operate and how to make the most of them.

Create a list of your core terms that best describe your site and what you are going to cover. This list should be quite short though: Don’t list more than 10 terms.

Use keywords to develop a content strategy

While it is often possible to start with a keyword and create content around that term, there are times when your content already exists and you must figure out how to match it to keywords.

Create a “content to keyword map” to accomplish this.

Creating this map can assist you in understanding the impact of your existing content as well as identifying weak links or gaps that need to be filled.

Don’t forget about long tail keywords on your service pages:

You get to use the appropriate keywords in each of your service pages when you build individual pages for each of them.

This is great for Google, but it’s also great for your customers because they’ll only see content that’s important to what they’re looking for.

Let’s pretend you have both Copywriting and SEO services.

Having a page dedicated solely to your Copywriting services enables you to use (and possibly rank for) various search terms or keywords, such as “Copywriting Services Sydney” or “Copywriting service prices,” for instance.

It’s a wise move to use other, similar, and more descriptive keywords, because if you tried to rank for the phrase “Copywriter,” you’d have a hard time making it to the first page of Google.

The phrase is too broad and generic, and there are too many other websites ‘competing’ for the same keyword. Furthermore, the quest is insufficiently precise!

What is the consumer attempting to accomplish? For a website design or Business sales page , find out what a Copywriter is. Or are they looking for a Copywriter to hire?

This is where our advice on ‘niching down’ comes in handy. You may find it difficult to rank for the term “Copywriter,” but you’ll have a better chance with long-tail keywords (phrases or sets of terms that are longer than a single word), such as:

  • How much does it cost to hire a Copywriter?
  • What exactly does Copywriting does?
  • What is the Copywriting procedure/process?
  • How long do you think it would take you to Copywrite for my website?

Consider what unique and targeted keywords your ideal clients are likely to look for, and then design your web pages around those phrases.

Create Responsive content that answers your customers’ questions-Aim to win snippets

Our most famous blog posts are that answers the questions that people are asking on google and any Search engine.

That’s not shocking, because Not just longer pieces of content offer a more in-depth response to your search question in Google’s eyes also the exact answers for a search Intent question.

For Instance If you are asking ” Is Cavoodle Breed good family Dog?” Or What do i feed my cavapoo Puppy?”  in the Search Engine

You are not Expecting an answer in google that says “It depends on …Blah Blah”. But, you will need an answer yes or No with a bit of explanation on why “Yes/No”.

When People searching for a specific answer to a question, they are keen on direct answers not the Beat under the Bush kind of (It depends)answers.

So,These are the snippets that Google Selects from your Content /Blog to show it to the user that is asking that particular Question On search engine.

Additionally, You can easily come up with a longer piece of content if you think about a subject from the viewpoint of a user and make a list of all the related and important questions someone may have on that topic.

Furthermore, Both in-depth & responsive content allows you to use more than one keyword.

You have a higher chance of ranking if the additional keywords are also terms that people look for!
